God is the Reason One of Many Miracles: Missing Child Nadia Bloom Found Alive
By AP
Apr. 13, 2010
WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. – A missing 11-year-old central Florida girl with Asperger syndrome was found alive on Tuesday, four days after she disappeared into an alligator-infested swamp a half-mile from her suburban home.
Nadia Bloom was taken to a hospital in nearby Longwood, Fla., where she will be evaluated and treated for dehydration and insect bites, said Winter Springs Police Chief Kevin Brunelle.
“If I never believed in miracles, I sure do now,” Brunelle said during an afternoon news conference.
Brunelle said Nadia told rescuers two things: “I’m glad you guys found me” and “I can’t believe you guys rescued me.”
Her sister has said Bloom, who has an autism-related disorder called Asperger syndrome, may have gone into the dense woods hoping to make a nature video.
It took nearly two hours for rescuers to carry Nadia out of the thick brush and swamp. It wasn’t police who located her. James King, who goes to church with Nadia’s family, found her Tuesday morning in a dry patch in the middle of the swamp and called authorities.
King climbed a tree and unfurled toilet paper in an attempt to draw attention to where they were.
Brunelle said he dispatched a helicopter to look for King and Nadia, but it didn’t work.
Using cell phone signals, authorities found King and Nadia.
“Mr. King is a hero right now,” said Brunelle. “He led us to her.”
Brunelle added that detectives are questioning both King and Nadia for more details on the rescue and how the little girl spent her time while she was missing.
Brunelle did say that Nadia told them that she had not talked to anyone since going into the woods on Friday.
Authorities began searching for Nadia in wooded areas near Lake Jessup, one of the most alligator-filled lakes in Central Florida.
The fifth-grader was last seen riding her bike on Friday, and authorities became alarmed when they found her bike and helmet. She did have a backpack with her.
Shortly after word came that Nadia was alive; her father briefly spoke to the media.
“It all came so fast and it just shows the compassion of the human spirit. It should give everybody encouragement,” her father, Jeff Bloom, told reporters after rescue crews lifted her into an ambulance.
When asked how he felt, Bloom said: “I can’t even describe it. Let’s give the glory to God.”

Help Find Missing Child Nadia Bloom
By Wesh.com
Apr. 12, 2010
Winter Springs, Fla. A missing child alert was issued on Monday for an 11-year-old Winter Springs girl who disappeared three days ago.
Rescuers combed through wooded areas near Nadia Bloom’s home in Winter Springs after her sister said she was recently reading a book about wilderness exploration.
At a news conference on Monday, Winter Springs Police Department Chief Kevin Brunelle said the search so far has turned up nothing.
No clothing, backpack, shoes or any other items have been recovered.
“It keeps me hopeful, and a lot of the searchers I’ve talked with are hopeful. Even though we understand the length and we understand the conditions, we need to maintain a positive outlook on it,” Brunelle said.
Brunelle said during the news conference that until his experts tell him otherwise, he and his team are continuing the search for Nadia.
Seminole County alert helicopters patrolled through the night for any sign of the missing girl.
The helicopters are equipped with heat sensors, but Brunelle said they detected no movement except wildlife.
Crews will expand their search Monday near Black Hammock Trail and Lake Jessup in light of the new lead.
Thirty police dogs, amphibious vehicles, divers and officers on the ground are looking for the autistic girl who disappeared Friday.
Nadia is 5 feet tall and weighs 85 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
Police said she was last seen wearing an orange T-shirt and blue shorts, and she was carrying a black backpack with a horse on it.
“A bicycle at the end of a cul-de-sac (was found) with one home off to the right-hand side and nothing but dense woods in front of you, on its kickstand, helmet taken off and placed on the handle bars, just like somebody got off the bike to take a walk or to go into a house or anything like that. That’s the scene that we have right now,” Brunelle said.
“I’m really sad because she’s my friend and I’ve known her for a really long time, and I really hope that we find her,” friend Sophia Sarabasa said.
The Metro Church congregation prayed for Nadia and her family on Sunday. Her former Sunday school teachers shared a little more about the girl, who has become a familiar face on the news and on fliers around town.
“She’s pretty independent,” Robert Meeks said. “She gets focused on a certain thought process and she gets pretty determined.”
Crisis counselors will be at Nadia’s school, Lawton Elementary School, Monday helping students cope.
“I just pray every minute that they come out of the woods with Nadia,” parent Linda Sarabasa said.
Brunelle said during the news conference that the next phase of the search of a heavily wooded area near the police command post will continue with dog teams, authorities will compile and review all the information so far that they have obtained and authorities will continue to check sex offender and sexual predator Web sites county-wide.
It was earlier reported that Nadia may have a survival manual with her, but Brunelle said Monday morning that authorities now know the book she has is called “Meet Lanie Holland,” which is part of the American Girl series. The book explores a love of nature and science.
Anyone with information should contact the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tip Line at 866-282-0672, the Winter Springs Police Department at 407-327-1000 or 911.

Food For Throught: “No King But King Jesus!”
By Jeffery S. Colter
YC/Staff
Apr.4, 2010
The evil of man knows no bounds. It is genetically programmed since the fall of man. Since that time civilizations have risen and fallen; kings have been crowned and dethroned; countless millions have known the agonizing consequences of how evil man can be.
All the suffering and pain known to mankind throughout the ages have a common link, and that is man’s fall from God’s Grace.
This was not God’s will for us, we took it upon ourselves. Our own pride blinded us from seeing His Holiness; therefore, God sent us His Light and Word in the form of the Son of Man.
A Man who would change the course of history and the course of people’s lives for all eternity.
A Jewish man born from the seed of David, prophesied about over three hundred times in the Old Testament about how He was to come, what He was to do, and why.
This man, Jesus, had to contend with the same things we have to contend with today. Not the wrestling against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 5:12-13)
These are things that cannot be seen but are known to be there.
In the same way one cannot see Faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. By Faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. (Hebrews 11:1-3)
However, what were seen by countless people were His crucifixion; the complete pardoning and removal of mankind’s sins. He became the embodiment of our sin so we may have a fresh start to know Him who created us in His image.
No longer enslaved by the trappings of the world and our own desires, but free from the bondage of slavery that keeps each one of us from the liberty of knowing Him and His desired blessings for us.
True liberty is the ‘declaration of independence’ from sin. No king or law can grant this gift or steal it from us. Jesus sealed this declaration by His resurrection.
The King of Kings and King of the Jews conquered death it’s self. He is the Conquering Hero for all time. Breaking open the gates of hell it’s self so that no one may be held captive, sacrificing Himself so that all may receive the underserved gift of eternal life.
John Milton Hay, an ambassador and Secretary of State under President McKinley, and President Lincoln’s personal secretary, wrote a poem called Sinai and Calvary.
His poem allows us a window into his personal relationship with the Savior. An excerpt from his poem reads as this:
But Calvary stands to ransom
the earth from utter loss,
in shade than light more glorious,
the shadow of the Cross.
To heal a sick world’s trouble,
to soothe its woe and pain,
On Calvary’s sacred summit
The Paschal Lamb was slain.
Almighty God! Direct us
to keep Thy perfect Law!
O blessed Savior, help us
Nearer to Thee to draw!
Let Sinai’s thunders aid us
to guard our feet from sin;
And Calvary’s light inspire us
the love of God to win.
We must understand that though the price of our sins our paid in full there will never be true peace in the world until Christ’s return. Man will continue his defiance towards God, and as a result the suffering of man will continue.
Samuel Adams says it best:
“I conceive we cannot express ourselves than by humbly supplicating the Supreme Ruler of the world…
That the confusions that are and have been among the nations may be overruled by the promoting and speedily bringing in the Holy happy period when the kingdoms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ may be everywhere established, and the people willingly bow to the scepter of Him who is the Prince of Peace.”
So let us remember as patriots to first and foremost be peacemakers and be the light so desperately needed in a dark world during dark times. Let us be like the patriots of old who were not ashamed of the Gospel but who made the idea of eternal liberty the very foundation of our Republic. Make the battle cry of our Forefathers yours today…”NO KING BUT KING JESUS!”
IN GOD WE ENTRUST THE REPUBLIC!

This Easter Morning
By John Tydlaska Jr

Apr. 4, 2010
Our Lord Jesus this Easter morning rose gloriously from the dead who I worship as my living Savior.
He has redeemed me and all those called by His name to be Thine own eternally. I give thanks and adore Thee as Conqueror of Satan, sin, and death.
Joy fills my heart as I come into Thy presence. Thy resurrection proclaims to all believers forgiveness of our sins, which brings peace to our hearts and songs of praise to our lips.
I know that through the bitter sufferings and blood of my Savior on the cross that we are reconciled to God, our Heavenly Father.
My Faith fills my heart with joy as I this Easter morning join with all Thy people to praise Thee. I know that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Thy Church.
Thy power and strength goes on from victory to victory as we bear witness of Thee and confess Thy name to the ends of the earth.
I pray that God takes full possession of our hearts today. Cleanse us in hearts, minds, and our beloved America from the evil that resides in our nation.
I pray that God continue his love and protection for all those called by His name and for America as one Nation under God.
I pray that His people across America increase in number from day to day. Gather Christians from East to West, from North to South of Thine own elect and help us with courage to re-establish America in Thine honor and glory throughout our land of freedom and liberty under Thy domain once more.
For my family and friends, Happy Easter, Amen

True Meaning of Easter
By Denise Willms
Apr. 4, 2010
As a Christian mom, Easter means much more to me than filling baskets with chocolate treats and watching children hunt high and low for their presents each year. Although those activities are a lot of fun!
More importantly for me, though, Easter is the time of year where I can talk with my children about Jesus’ death on the cross, His resurrection, and what it means for them – eternal friendship with Jesus!
For young children, the concept of salvation can be very difficult to understand. There are a lot of tools that can help you explain God’s gift to us and why His Son had to die on the cross.
You can make salvation bracelets out of colored beads or salvation books out of colored paper, and explain the significance of each color.
You can also purchase toys from your Christian bookstore to help explain God’s plan of salvation in a child friendly way.
At Easter time, with so much yummy candy around, why not use jellybeans to teach your children the true meaning of Easter?
Here are some suggestions of what the different colors can represent.
Black – This color represents sin. Sin is what separates us from God.
Red – This represents the blood Jesus shed when He died for us. Only the blood of Jesus Christ can erase our sin.
White – The white jellybean represents how clean our hearts are after Jesus’ blood removes our sin.
Green – Green is the color of grass and growing things. Now that Jesus has cleaned our hearts, we can grow to become more like Him.
Purple – This is the color of royalty. We need to remember that Jesus is the King of Kings. Now He is the king of our hearts.
Yellow – This represents the streets of gold that are in heaven. When we die we will live with Jesus in Heaven forever.
Pink and Orange– You can be creative with these colors! Perhaps one is to give to a friend, and tell them the Good News of Jesus too.

Teachings of Jesus

Is America losing its freedoms? Do we truly have freedom of speech, expression, assembly, etc any longer?
Many can argue that we still have such freedoms; however, many more will argue that such freedoms are swiftly fading before us.
Freedom, according to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, is defined as “the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action.”
It may also mean “the liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power of another.” Considering that every historical implemented document which serves as the United States foundation explicitly mentions the word “freedom,” one must ponder whether we are truly free today.
Does freedom constitute being forced into paying a specified “tax” for a service some may rather not have?
Does freedom constitute, being referred to as something you are not based off one’s own beliefs or opinions which provides a label onto others?
Does freedom constitute owning a specified business however be coerced into government scandals?
America is not the Middle East nor is it a Communist or Dictatorship controlled nation. America is the “land of the free.”
It is obvious that none of these statements equates to any form of freedom. Today however, all Americans have witnessed acts which deplete any form of freedom we once had.
Currently, no sign exists for an end to such actions and behaviors; or do they?
Indeed there are signs that freedom within the United States will soon prevail once again. The greatest of signs have been exemplified through the recent forming of mass political and social movements throughout the United States.
We have witnessed more and more celebrity persons, specifically within our news media, discuss religion and freedom. Religion and freedom, these are two words often used in the same sentence.
Many argue that the United States was not founded off religious principles. This is extremely debatable. Each and every founding father that signed his death wish through the creation of the Declaration of Independence, Articles of War, and the U.S. Constitution were students of the bible.
When reading such historical documents, those that understand the Christian beliefs will observe how faith centric these documents truly are. Many may not see it however; observe the Passover Feast with Jesus and his disciples according to John 13:1-20:
“It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father.
Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love.”
“The evening meal was being served, and the devil had already prompted Judas Iscariot, son of Simon, to betray Jesus.
Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist.
After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.”
“He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, ‘Lord, are you going to wash my feet?’ ”
“Jesus replied, ‘You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.’ ”
Hopefully, this passage will assist in seeing the greater picture. Was this episode with Jesus as simple an act as many may believe?
Do we “realize now” what Jesus was really doing? Our forefather certainly did.
Jesus was about to commit himself to the ultimate sacrifice, His crucifixion. He was willing to die for us, and torturously did so.
Prior to his death, He laid the foundation for all mankind following His footsteps. Biblically, water, can also be construed as ‘Word.’ It wasn’t just health and wellness-it was more about following the word of Jesus:
kindness, love, neighborliness, and healing outside of respected social circles.
Actions at the time were used to push the bounds of societal norms without physical fight as seen in the Garden of Gethsemane after the Last Supper.
The disciples were not forced to do such actions rather they freely choose to fulfill such measures. Many of them died because of it.
They too were persecuted and brutally murdered. Our forefathers acted similarly. They opened the doors to those in need.
They laid the framework for others to follow and they also later faced persecution and brutality amongst those that observed the world differently then them.
The United States has been asleep for a long time. We have slept, and while we slept we dreamt about wealth, superiority, and everything opposite the teachings of Jesus.
We have failed to remember those that provided us with freedom. We have lost faith in our God. We have lost faith in our forefathers.
In turn, we placed too much faith in our own government and individual self-centeredness.
We have finally awakened. In time, today’s actions amongst the American patriots may be referred to as the “Fourth Great American Awakening.” With faith preserved once again, we will survive.
We will survive through inviting our neighbors to feast. We will not stop with just a feast rather we will wash our neighbors feet, we will embrace them as our flock, we will ensure their needs are taken care of, and encourage them to go out and do the same for others.
We will not do any of these acts of kindness because we are forced to do so; rather we will freely fulfill such kindness because that is what Jesus taught.
Revelation 11:18 states that: “The nations were filled with wrath, but now the time of your wrath has come.
It is time to judge the dead and reward your servants the prophets, as well as your holy people, and all who fear your name, from the least to the greatest. It is time to destroy all who have caused destruction on the earth.”
America is on the brink of total destruction. The American earth is soaked in blood due to past wars. Wars such as the American Revolution and the Civil War were fought over freedom.
More American lives have been lost throughout these wars than any other in our short history. We have been founded upon principles instilled in man to fight until our death to ensure freedom is preserved for all Americans.
Times have changed. We do not need violence amongst fellow Americans as too much bloodshed continues to be spilled in the world which we live. Instead, we need to willingly serve one another. We need to identify those in need and voluntarily assist them.
We need to live our lives to that which Jesus asked of us during the night of His Last Super. And lastly, we need to ensure elected officials support these values and principles which follows the footsteps of our Savior.
We have taken care of our own and many others throughout American history. We will be capable of fulfilling these principles on our own again.
It is time for big government initiatives to be stopped and allow the people of the United States the freedom to choose our own destiny.

Celebration of Hope

Apr. 4, 2010
For many of us, the arrival of Easter means the arrival of a new season of joy – of Easter parades, Easter egg hunts, chocolate bunnies, and sweet Peeps topping off a family meal.
Some may wonder why we merrily celebrate at a time when we’re remembering Christ’s crucifixion on the cross. And there is something to that.
Good Friday is, after all, about God who became Man, dying on the cross for our sins. And yet we celebrate Easter Sunday, and we are right to do so.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
This one verse sums up the miracle that is the Easter season and helps explain the celebration.
Yes, Christ died for us, but in the end Easter isn’t a season of sadness. Ultimately, the story of Christ’s rising from the dead three days after the crucifixion is the story of the triumph of hope over despair.
Hope is one of America’s unique virtues. Hope makes us dream and achieve the seemingly impossible.
It’s who we are, and it’s why we’re able to always believe that our best days are yet to come, both for our families and for our country.
Easter time reminds us that we have every right to believe that this hope is based on time-tested truths and a solid foundation.
On behalf of the Palin family, I wish you all a peaceful and reflective Good Friday and a blessed and happy Easter Sunday.

This telling of the death of Jesus was recorded by Glenn several years back and as Glenn says, always generates letters and emails asking him why he focused on the death.
“Because everybody concentrates on Easter, and I know that without Easter, His death was meaningless. I concentrate on Easter every day. Every day, every day that I draw a breath, I know it is because I found my way out of the darkness.
Every day that I go home to my children and I see them, it’s because of Easter. Everything I have, everything I am is because I don’t celebrate Easter on just Easter. I’m grateful for Easter every day” – Glenn Beck

Do you know what “Joylogy” means? It is the study of caring, sharing, and listening and Sacrifice.
This was written by Mr. Jeineke in 1975
We would like to know what you think: dan@youngchronicle.com
What is a Joyologist? A joyologist then would be one who studies joy logy. Frankly our world could use a great many joyologists whose mission in life is to actively research the effects of discussing and sharing joy.
The research could branch out into how joy affects our careers, family lives, and friendships. The very act of doing the active research should spread jubilation throughout the world and bring about positive results. What a fun job!
All one needs to start with is to share the words joyism, joy logy, and joyologis with others. Use the words daily and make them a part of the world’s vocabulary.
The upcoming year is going to challenge us all. Here is something we need to think, this is from an unknown reader. It is called: God’s Ten Commandments for Parents
By Unknown
1. My hands are small; please do not expect perfection whenever I make a bed, draw a picture, or throw a ball. My legs are short; slow down so that I can keep up with you.
2. My eyes have not seen the world as yours have; let me explore it safely; do not restrict me unnecessarily.
3. Housework will always be there; I am little only for a short time. Take time to explain things to me about this wonderful world, and do so willingly.
4. My feelings are tender; do not nag me all day long (you would not want to be nagged for your inquisitiveness). Treat me as you would like to be treated.
5. I am a special gift from God; treasure me as God intended you to do – holding me accountable for my actions, giving me guidelines to live by, and discipline me in a loving manner.
6. I need your encouragement (but not your empty praise) to grow. Go easy on the criticism; remember you can criticize the things I do without criticizing me.
7. Give me the freedom to make decisions concerning myself. Permit me to fail, so that I can learn from my mistakes. Then someday I will be prepared to make the decisions life will require of me.
8. Do not do things for me; that makes me feel that my efforts did not measure up to your expectations. I know its hard, but don’t compare me with my brother or sister.
9. Do not be afraid to leave for a weekend together. Kids need vacations from parents, and parents need vacations from kids. Besides, it’s a great way to show us kids that your marriage is something special.
10. Take me to Sunday school and church regularly, setting a good example for me to follow. I enjoy learning more about God.
